Studies have shown that an increase in creatine in the system leads to a greater tolerance to endurance training and more power/strength production.

The second supplement you should purchase is a good multivitamin. Because you will be taxing your central nervous system several days a week, it is important to provide your body with the nutrients and vitamins it needs to recover.

The third supplement that all lifters should consider is fish oil. A fish oil supplement is a great investment for bodybuilders. With all the recent studies about the benefits of using a fish oil, it should definitely be a component of a bodybuilder’s nutrition. Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids help promote cardiovascular health and brain function, which in turn improves your performance and overall health.

Finally, consider purchasing a protein powder is you find that you can’t reach your protein requirements each day. A protein powder is a convenient way to get your daily protein as it can be mixed with a variety of things and takes a very short time to prepare.  Look into soy, whey, whey isolate and casein. The type you pick will be based upon your  personal preferences and budget.
